Short: Switches WB between backdrop/non-backdrop Author: steger@pass.dnet.it (Georg Steger) Uploader: steger pass dnet it (Georg Steger) Type: util/wb Version: 0.5 Requires: OS 2.0 (V36) Architecture: m68k-amigaos If you have opened a lot of windows on your Workbench it is sometimes very hard reaching the icons on the main Workbench window (Disks, AppIcons, etc.) Many people use the "Backdrop" menu item to make the main Workbench window a normal window (no backdrop) because this brings the Workbench window to front. So one can easly access the icons and bring the Workbench window back again later by selecting the "Backdrop" menu item once again. Un- fortunately you have to activate one of the Workbench windows in order to be able to activate the menu item (or use the keyboard shortcut). Often you have to move windows, change their size or iconify them. This is over now!! WBAttack is a little program which allows you to change the backdrop mode of the main Workbench window. It is (mainly) intended to be used with pro- grams like Toolmanager which allow starting programs with a configurable hotkey. As such hotkeys can be used in any occasion (it does not matter which window or screen is the active one) accessing the icons of the main Workbench window will be very very easy.
