Short: Pretty Good Privacy for Amiga Author: Philip Zimmermann, port by Rob Knop Uploader: polluks+aminet sdf lonestar org (Stefan Haubenthal) Type: util/crypt Version: 2.6.3i Architecture: m68k-amigaos URL: http://www.pgpi.org -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- PGP 2.6.3 and PGP2.6.3i for the Amiga These are versions of PGP2.6.3 (USA/Canada) and PGP2.6.3i (International) compiled for the Amiga. See readme.usa and readme.1st respectively for more information. At a shell prompt, type "version full" where is the name of the PGP executable you wish to check. (This will be PGP263-000, PGP263-020, PGP263i-000, or PGP263i-020.) Versions for the USA will be reported as "PGP 2.6.3". International versions will be reported as "PGP 2.6.3i". There are versions for 68000 and 68020 CPUs; if you have a 68020 or better, you should use the 68020 version, as it is significantly faster. If you have an unaccelerated A500, A600, or A2000, you will need to use the 68000 version. Almost all of the standard PGP documentation applies to the Amiga version. For instructions on using the program, see doc/pgpdoc1.txt. INSTALLATION - ------------ o Modify your s:user-startup or (in the case of WB1.3) your s:Startup-sequence to add the line "setenv PGPPATH " where is the directory where PGP will live. If you've used a prior version of PGP2.6, this is probably already done. Alternatively, at a shell prompt you can type: >setenv PGPPATH >copy env:PGPPATH envarc: o If the directory $PGPPATH/doc doesn't exist, do: > makedir $PGPPATH/doc o Issue the following shell commands: > Copy config.txt $PGPPATH/ > Copy doc/#? $PGPPATH/doc/#? > Copy #?.hlp $PGPPATH/ o If english is not your favorite language, you might want to: > Copy language.txt $PGPPATH/ This language file has support for German, French, and Spanish. o Copy the version of PGP you wish to anywhere in your path. You may wish to rename the relevant executable to simply "pgp".For example, if you are an international user with a 68030 CPU, you might do: > Copy PGP263i-020 SYS:Utilities/pgp o Direct any questions to the Amiga PGP mailing list at pgpamiga@peti.rhein.de or to Rob Knop at rknop@mop.caltech.edu -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: 2.6.3 Charset: noconv iQCVAwUBMPrXnILHyRCGfVWJAQEWawP/cIXhMuhWgqxTJ+LwCo64AqV8ijRwtwI8 kPv8hT3ykuMRrpb1UnsVwybt6ck7dvXY5o8xeUBQknId8OIcuN4JEZ5UQjzKC8DY Q+iL+vTyyfogRo/Xh3BSujS44ZtqvWokkYL+Vxu+rUDhT4eUx3Gq8FmsPFdXA50w ew3vTx1VFr8= =fgJH -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
