Short: MusicMaker V8 Player Author: Thomas Winischhofer Uploader: thomas winischhofer net (Thomas Winischhofer) Type: mus/play Version: 3.15 Architecture: m68k-amigaos "MusicMaker V8" ("MMV8") is a sample-based music editor I wrote between 1987 and around 1993. It's not "just another tracker", it's instead based on macros which apply to one channel only. These macros can be combined freely to form a tune. MMV8 includes a very powerful sample-editor and a sophisticated technique for providing eight channels (each capable of playing at different volume levels) on a standard Amiga. It was actually the very first program on the market back then with eight completely independent channels. This package contains two programs to play MusicMaker tunes: - Wurlitzer (with GUI) - URadio (CLI-Utility) Both play all MusicMaker tunes except those which were saved in LIB-DISK mode (ie where the instruments are only referenced by filename, but not included in the file). Both need the supplied libraries in libs:. If you have installed the full MusicMaker V8 package, all of these programs might already be installed on your system (if you chose so in the installer) Version 3.15 (3 Feb 2022) - Filerequester: Fix long standing and potentially lethal sorting bug Version 3.14: (11 Nov 2021) - Minor Filerequester changes Version 3.13: (29 Oct 2021) - Fileequester changes - Fix race condition - Make file listing faster Version 3.08: (23 Sep 2021) - New portamento effect (Musicmaker 3.08+) - Fix file requester bug in Wurlitzer Version 3.07: (2 May 2021) - Version bump to synchronize version numbers - Tiny fix(tm) in replayer libraries Version 3.05: (2 May 2021) - Fix File requester (Was broken on 68000 since at least 3.03. This made the entire program unuable on plain 68000 since 2018. I am speechless. The reason was that IsFilesystem() needs its text argument word-aligned, which it sometimes wasn't.) Version 3.04: (Dec 2020) - Fix mouse wheel support in File Requester (Trick FreeWheel into thinking we are MUI. A bit dumb, granted. But FreeWheel does not support any other way of telling it that we support the wheel by ourselves.) Version 3.03: (Feb 2018) - Fixed 4-channel player glitch on some 68060 based systems.
