Short: EaglePlayer "TFMX" external replayer Author: Wanted Team Uploader: wt jho pol pl (Don Adan/Wanted Team) Type: mus/play Version: 4 Replaces: mus/play/EP_TFMX.lha Architecture: m68k-amigaos This is a new version of the different external "TFMX" replay for EaglePlayer 1.54/2.00+. It's a player for all (?) modules created with TFMX (see TFMX.txt). Version 1 Features: - Analyzer - Voices - Volume - SampleInfo with SampleSaver (EP 2.00+ only) - SubSong - Balance - SongEnd - ModuleInfo with Position Counter - Save - PlaySpeed - PlayFaster Version 2 - added support for the macro 1F (LastAddNote) used in "Apprentice" tunes - added support for all TFMX 1.0 trackstep commands: FA00 - stop the player command FA01 - looping command, used in the "R-Type" title tune, for example FA02 - set the tempo command Version 3 - changed the Interrupt type - added PatternJump - updated SongEnd detection - capable of finding the author's name with the EP FindAuthor routine - extended the External Loading routine, now you can also use "SMPL.set" for the sample file name, which is useful for songs from the game "Einmal Kanzler sein" - as a bonus, attached is an EagleRipper for TFMX modules (all formats) Version 4 - some changes/fixes in player/ripper Notes: 1. Packed ("stripped") TFMX modules from Chris Huelsbeck's "Soundfactory" CD are not supported. You can depack these modules with the TFMX editor (Jon Pickard's version), but the original version from games is always better. 2. There exist some damaged and very poorly ripped versions of the MDAT files from the game called "Apprentice". These files will crash the TFMX player!!! Here is a list (with size) of these files: mdat.Apprentice_Ingame2 10036 mdat.Apprentice_Ingame3 8500 mdat.Apprentice_Ingame4 9468 mdat.Apprentice_Ingame5 8660 3. This player correctly plays/recognizes TFMX modules only!!! For TFMX Pro songs use the TFMX Pro player (mus/play/EP_TFMXPro.lha). 4. ModuleInfo works/looks better for EaglePlayer 1.54 because EaglePlayer 2.00+ doesn't refresh the ModuleInfo screen. 5. Only for EP 1.54 users: (still the best Amiga modules player ever :-) ) "List of Samples" and "Number of Samples" are actually "List of Instruments" and "Number of Instruments". 6. If you have the Amiga games called "L&M Adventure" and/or "HB-Car Race", please contact Wanted Team. 7. For ripping sample files with the attached ripper the data file (mdat), sample file (smpl), and initialized (!!!) replay file (tfmx.obj) must all be stored inside the loaded file (which should be a file containing Chip RAM that was saved to disk). You can save Chip RAM with Action Replay, WHDload, JST, ChipSaver, Exotic Ripper, Thrill Kill, HrtMon or some other Amiga monitor. Also, remember that sometimes more than one mdat file exists inside saved Chip RAM (for example in the game "Apidya 2"). You have to choose the right one or save all available mdat files if you want to rip the correct smpl file. Besides, sometimes more than one initialized replay exists inside saved Chip RAM. Then you have to clear the first replay if wrong samples are saved. Also note that in "Pass 2" mode you can rip some protected (without header) TFMX modules, for example "Hard'N'Heavy" songs, the "Turrican 2" loading tune and the "Apidya 2" loading tune. 8.
