Short: Convert PC Karaoke Midifile for midiplay Author: Ninjaw@WriteMe.com Uploader: Ninjaw WriteMe com Type: mus/midi Version: 1.1 Replaces: mus/midi/KaraoFR.lha Architecture: m68k-amigaos -----------------------------------------| KaraoFR - Version 1.1 - By Ninjaw P.B. -----------------------------------------| FREEWARE This prog convert Ms-Dos Karaoke MidiFiles to Amiga Very usefull for midiplay, and especially Foreign langages You know "C'est deja ca" ? mmh, yes It's a french song not very well... For a long time I couldn't use it as a Karaoke file in midiplay...Try it! See how it's bugging Midiplay??? If you next run KaraoFR on it, it will play perfectly (yes). Why? What did KaraoFR? It just entered into the lyrics of the KAR and changed all special foreign Characters to convert from MS-DOS to AMIGA ASCII YES Midiplay don't handle this!! And most of the karaoke maker I saw on PC, work on MS-DOS, and not WINDOWS that is using the same ASCII !!!! That's why a lot of foreign songs don't play correctly...Some plays because they got a WINDOWS ASCII, or because they cutted the accents on letters :) NEW IN VERSION 1.1 !!!! USEFULL FOR EVERY KARAOKE USERS!!!!! In the 1.1 version I implemented a new cool function.. I noticed YET a boring thing with some KARs... There is some without any paragraph...grrr... and then, with midiplay, you don't see the lyrics before they come! Mmmh the only solution is to edit them....BUT! I noticed some Kar files had some 'special paragraph' yep the paragraph are just delimited by a 'Space' char at the start of one sentence! So now KaraoFr is checking for them, and add the paragraph char (in fact just \ instead of /) I added too a translation for the char ' that is sometimes differents on PC
