Short: Spacey dancey techno octamed module Author: Homer J Uploader: imugford box satech net au Type: mods/med Architecture: generic Uploaded: (17-12-1996) ` Outreach ' By - Homer J E-mail: imugford@box.satech.net.au S-mail: P.O.Box 608, Semaphore 5019 South Australia, Australia This mod has nothing really special in it, so i'm not going to spend a lot of time writing about it. This was an attempt to get a really nice sound from a mod, suitable for playing on a big stereo system. I have tried to get the intro bass notes to not "pop". Some composers may have noticed that when you write a droning sort of bass, the pops are not apparent until you play the mod through anything but the monitor speakers. Please forgive all the silly looking timing commands and pauses. That's how i got around the pops. It has been a month since any of my mods have been uploaded, because i haven't had the necessary creative juices. I could have released any old lame shit (maybe i have now) but i didn't want to. Some samples were taken from other mods. Following is a list of some of the samples and, according to my readme and text directories, where they came from and who wrote the tunes. --Sample------No.(s)-----Module name---------------Author-- BassStrum (1) Ectoplasm The Anonymous One Cymbal (6) Ectoplasm The Anonymous One Thanks to all above (and others) who provided these fine samples. I hope they don't mind too much. All hat and drum rhythms were mixed by me using Mod2Smp. If you re-use my samples or (god forbid) re-mix this mod, then it would be nice if you sent me a copy of whatever you use it in. Quiz Time: Does any body know of a Mod2Smp style program that works with med modules? In essence a Med2Smp! If you know of or have such a program, then a small e-mail would be appreciated. Thanks. E-mail me for comments, suggestions, module and/or sample swapping, or just for a chat (yes, i am that bored). With over 44 mb worth of samples and 230 mb of various modules, i have a lot to swap. Some of the samples are rather good, some are average, and some are downright crap. I guess the same could be said for the modules! :) *Newsflash*: On top of the 230 mb of modules on my hard drive, i now have some CDs packed with modules. I estimate that these CDs bring my total collection size to around 4 gig! Note: From now on, all of my mods will be in the med directory on Aminet and have a hmr_ prefix. My first uploaded mod, Parallax, did not have this, but was re-uploaded with the prefix. (hopefully) Burp. }{øm@® j ¶ß^þ
