Short: Futurist noise core octamed module Author: Homer J Uploader: imugford box satech net au Type: mods/med Architecture: generic Uploaded: (30-12-1996) ` My World ' By - Homer J E-mail: imugford@box.satech.net.au S-mail: P.O.Box 608, Semaphore 5019 South Australia, Australia Wow... i didn't think it would turn out this good! This mod was originally going to be a grunge style tune, but the vocals sounded much better when they were distorted. For a song that only took me about one and a half days to write, i think it sounds great. And yes, i did get a few ideas and influences from bands like Ministry and Nine Inch Nails. Most of the samples were made (not just sampled) by me. I actually sang the vocals (echoed later) and "manufactured" the feedback. The bass and guitar notes (o,p,q,r) were mixed by me using an excellent program called Mod2Smp by hali/union. Thanks to hali for writing such a great program and also to mutant gumby for the sampler and microphone. Some samples were taken from other mods. Following is a list of some of the samples and, according to my readme and text directories, where they came from and who wrote the tunes. --Sample-----No.(s)-----Module name----------Author-- BassStrum (9) Children Vortech Guitars (a,b,c,d) Digital Cadaver Jason Sexton (original by CYBERGRIND) If you like this sort of tune, then check out the two mods above. They rock! The hardcore bassdrum(l) was sampled by me, but all other drum samples are old ones, and unfortunately, i can't remember where they came from. Thanks to all above (and others) for providing these fine samples. I hope they don't mind too much. Feel free to re-use my samples or (god forbid) re-mix this mod, but if you do, it would be nice if you sent me a copy of whatever you come up with. E-mail me for comments, suggestions, module and/or sample swapping, or just for a chat (yes, i am that bored). With over 44 mb worth of samples and 230 mb of various modules, i have a lot to swap. Some of the samples are rather good, some are average, and some are downright crap. I guess the same could be said for the modules! :) *Newsflash*: On top of the 230 mb of modules on my hard drive, i now have some CDs packed with modules. I estimate that these CDs bring my total collection size to around 4 gig! Hmm. Swappers-R-Us. Burp. }{øm@® j ¶ß^þ
