It does this by using the translation server located at babelfish.altavista.com on port 80 (ie. the web). The program simply saves the user loading up a dedicated web browser. This program is very useful when connected to an IRC server, where you can translate text from German, French, Spanish, Italian and Portugese users. Unlike the web server, iTranslate filters out all the HTML, leaving you with clean ASCII text.
